BOMBANANA! Level 5 Walkthrough
Level 5 is where most demo teams hit the wall: the modules stop being one-step lookups. Here is what the public record actually supports about the early-level curve โ and the procedure that clears it. There is no honest per-state answer key (the demo manual still has blank pages), so this walkthrough gives you the method, not invented spoilers.
What Changes at Level 5
Public demo impressions describe the first tier as the standard cut-the-wire setup, with tiers four and five introducing math panels โ odd/even checks, greater-than/less-than thresholds and directional challenges that break unprepared teams. The module evidence index independently places the Switch panel at demo level 5: four switches, four colored lights, Braille numbers beneath, one ENTER button.
So a level-5 bomb can combine:
- Calculator (from demo level 3): two-stage math โ enter the raw equation result, then use the new LED plus odd/even to find the final key. The keypad is jumbled, and the sum is not always the number you press.
- Switch panel (demo level 5): several states must all be correct before a single ENTER locks them in.
- Direction / D-pad: LED color plus a Braille number, one direction per stage.
The Level 5 Procedure
- Simplest module first. Clear any Cable or Direction panel before touching Calculator or Switch โ take timer pressure off.
- Calculator: respect the two stages. Solve the equation aloud, enter the raw result, then stop talking and re-read the panel. The useful information has now changed from an equation to a colored LED. Handler reports the full state: "Result is 67, odd, greater than five, yellow LED. Waiting for the final number." The Mute decides the branch โ never let the Blind pick between odd and greater-than on instinct.
- Switch: confirm every switch before ENTER. Call the light-color order across the top and the full digit string, resolve each switch in turn, repeat each state aloud. The classic level-5 death is pressing ENTER with one uncertain 50/50 still open. Use your agreed go-back signal to revisit one switch instead of gambling.
- After any wrong input: full stop, full re-read. A wrong input can change the LED, the number or the stage. The answer that was right ten seconds ago may be worthless now.
Level 2 Notes
Level 2 is the first step up from the tutorial wire tier. In the full game, the Color Slider module is first seen at level 2 โ four vertical sliders in red, green, yellow and blue, pushed up or down per the manual. Its manual page has not been shown on camera, so exact rules are Unconfirmed; apply the universal callout (module name โ position โ details โ manual answer โ repeat-back โ confirm โ input) and write down what works on your build.
If Level 5 Still Blows Up
Diagnose the failure type before retrying: bad scan (missing field), wrong manual branch, stale answer after a stage change, or a relay that lost a value between players. The fix for each lives in the module guide and the 7-step walkthrough.
