BOMBANANA! Campaign Walkthrough
The Campaign is 30 handcrafted levels that teach the game in five stretches. The puzzle structure of each level is fixed โ the exact modules, colors and numbers are drawn from a pool, so the method matters more than memorizing one run. This page maps the whole campaign, marks where each module first appears, and explains how to beat each stretch instead of grinding random bombs.
How the Campaign Works
Each level is a bomb with a set number of module slots, a timer and a mistake limit. Level by level the game:
- Introduces new module families at fixed points (Switch at 16, Maze at 18, Morse at 21).
- Widens the random pool โ later levels draw from all modules seen so far.
- Adds Chaos and environment pressure โ the rising-slider hazard and new stage elements (an airplane is added to the van at launch) compete for the Blind Monkey's attention mid-solve.
A level's family is predictable; its live answer is not. Never reuse a previous run's exact callout โ re-read the panel you are actually holding.
Levels 1โ7: Basics
The opening stretch is the game's tutorial language lesson:
- Levels 1โ2 โ Cable / Wire plus Color Sliders appear early (sliders are seen as early as level 2). This is where you lock in the wire countโlightโtargetโposition loop.
- Levels 3โ5 โ Calculator (maths) enters; two-stage solves start costing real time. Clear the levels cleanly here and your later runs get much easier.
- Levels 6โ7 โ Direction (D-pad) joins the pool. Agree the Blind-perspective left/right rule now โ it will not get cheaper to fix.
Stretch goal: settle a short state packet (module name, position, the 2โ3 facts that matter) before the timer gets loud. Teams that fix callout language in 1โ7 carry it through the whole campaign.
Levels 8โ15: Medium Modules
The pool widens and descriptions get longer:
- Symbol, Piano and Soundboard enter. These add a stage, a sound, a note sequence or a color-light to the packet.
- Vague descriptions that cost two seconds on an early Cable now fail whole panels โ the team is holding more simultaneous state.
- Chaos modules start appearing as hazards. The rising-slider demands: stabilize first, then re-confirm the defusal panel's current state before trusting an older answer.
Stretch goal: one module at a time, confirm before every input, and after any mistake call a full stop and re-read the module. Panic inputs stack faster than calm retries.
Levels 16โ20: Switch and Maze
State integrity becomes the wall here:
- Switch is a fixed Campaign problem from Level 16 โ partial information now fails whole panels because several switches must be right before a single ENTER locks them in.
- Maze first appears at Level 18, then returns at 19, 20 and 24. Maze needs the Braille maze number, the red-dot start and the green-light destination bundled into one route with step counts โ see the module guide.
Stretch goal: learn to hold several values across an interruption (Chaos, a wrong input) and rebuild the packet from the current panel, not from memory.
Levels 21โ24: Morse and Sequences
- Morse is a fixed appearance from Level 21, returning at 22. Watch one display at a time, let the five-signal pattern loop twice, decode, and keep every digit attached to its slot โ see the Morse section.
- The stretch mixes Morse with longer sequence modules, which is exactly where an unfinished digit or a swapped slot kills a run.
Stretch goal: the recovery habit โ after any interruption, ask "did the panel change?" before continuing. A correct-but-stale answer is worse than a slow re-read.
Levels 25โ30: Random Hard
Public sources map the final stretch only in outline: Unconfirmed specifics, but consistent reports describe Random Hard โ the last levels draw from every module family at higher difficulty, with tighter timers and heavier Chaos. By now the game assumes your team already has:
- a stable universal callout,
- a working repeat-back and go-back signal,
- and a Chaos priority that pauses the puzzle to stabilize the hazard.
Stretch goal: finish the campaign with the same method you started with. The level names change; the handoff should not.
Fixed First Appearances

|---|---|---|
| Cable / Wire | 1 | Count, light, target color, position |
| Color Sliders | ~2 | Observed in footage at level 2 |
| Calculator | ~3 | Two-stage solve |
| Direction (D-pad) | ~6 | Blind-perspective left/right |
| Symbol | 8โ15 stretch | Wheel + colored buttons |
| Piano | 8โ15 stretch | Braille keys, color light |
| Soundboard | 8โ15 stretch | One sounding button |
| Switch | 16 | Several states before ENTER |
| Maze | 18 | Returns at 19, 20, 24 |
| Morse | 21 | Returns at 22 |
| Chaos (Rising Slider) | 8โ15 stretch | Hazard, not a puzzle |
Levels before a module's first appearance pull from earlier families only; later levels can mix anything seen so far.
